This weekend I came across Kellogg's Choco Zucaritas for sale. This are Chocolate Frosted Flakes, but with a twist: Imported from Mexico but packaged for the U.S. market, although predominately with Spanish labeling. This is not the first time a foreign cereal is being sold here to connect with immigrants, but I'm surprised it isn't done more. As breakfast cereal becomes more global this may be a trend companies may be trying more frequently.

ReplyDeleteThey are absolutely delicious and addictive! We found them at Fiesta Mart but they haven't had them for a while now. I've looked everywhere with no luck. :(

ReplyDeleteLOVE these but they will be discontinued as of 1/5/2012 per a phone call to kellogs. They are only available in Mexico. I am craving them!! Anyone know where I can purchase them online-through Mexico maybe?? I tried Amazon but no luck.
ReplyDeleteMarti, I'm not sure what Kellogg's told you, but they are available in the U.S. At least where I am in Washington state, and I've heard from others across the country as well. Check Wal-Mart.

DeleteA few years ago they had a coco frosted flakes in a purple box. They were the best ever. I hope these are good too. Gonna goto the storeand find me a box to try.
